Tell us a little about yourself and your career.

I’m from Atlanta, Georgia, and I’m a storyboard artist at Sony Pictures Animation. I’ve been working in animation for almost five years now. Before animation, I initially studied computer programming. Near the end of graduate school I was hired to be a revisionist on Marvel’s Spider-Man. After that I worked on a few other shows at Disney TV and DreamWorks, and now I’m back to drawing Spider-Man for the sequel to Spider-Verse. I’ve spent most of my animation career drawing Spider-Man, and I appreciate that his design doesn’t include a cape.

What challenges have you faced in navigating a career in animation?

I think the biggest challenge was coming from so far outside of the industry. Although I felt comfortable drawing, I did not know what a story revisionist did until I was a revisionist. It was challenging to learn everything on the job, but thankfully my directors were patient with me adjusting to the industry.

Who are your inspirations in the field of animation?

My biggest animation inspirations are definitely my first directors and co-workers at Marvel Animation. I learned almost everything I know about the industry while working there, and I was always inspired to see the sick work of the board artists and designers there.

What do you hope to accomplish as an artist in the animation industry?

I hope to work on a project with giant robots! I’d also love to work on a Street Fighter series one day.

Is there anything else we should know about you?

I am the best Street Fighter player in The Animation Guild.
